SAIOH was formed in 2000 as an amalgamation of the:

Occupational Hygiene Association of Southern Africa (OHASA) and the

bullet

Institute of Occupational Hygienists of Southern Africa (IOHSA).

 

SAIOH is a member of the International Occupational Hygiene Association (IOHA) the international voice of the occupational hygiene profession. IOHA is officially recognised as a non-governmental organization (NGO) by both the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
